Job Title: Barista/ Front Counter

We are looking for friendly and hard-working people to prepare food and coffee drinks while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for our customer base. As you learn the ins and outs of customer service at a bustling local business, you will also be able to express your talents and passions by bringing your ideas to our table of like-minded entrepreneurs. At Lox, Stock, n’ Bagel, we emphasize the importance of teamwork in a family-oriented atmosphere while serving stellar food service to our guests.

Job responsibilities include:

• crafting unique food and drinks for our customer base
• interacting with multiple people (customers and fellow employees) at one time
• opening and closing a register and exchanging money
• basic cleaning of food prep areas

Qualifications:

While no prior experience in food service is required, we are looking for the following traits in our team members:

• Strong communication skills
• friendly/sociable
• Team oriented
• Adaptable
• We are also looking for someone who has morning and early afternoon availability

Benefits

As a locally-owned family business, we are closed for all major holidays! The shop also closes early on weekdays and weekends so you will have all evening off. Weekend workers receive an extra bonus pay of $10 a day. All front counter workers will also be included in any tips left by our grateful customers.

Full-time employees will be offered PTO (Paid Time Off)

Vision insurance is offered to all employees 30 days after date of employment
Dental insurance will be offered to half-time (17-31hrs/week) and full-time (32+ hrs/week) employees 3 months after date of employment
Health insurance contribution (up to $100/month) is offered to all full-time employees 6 months after date of employment

Wages:

minimum of $15 – 18/hr (with tips)
Wages can be increased, depending on experience
